The Reserve’s Climate Forward program provides a practical solution to companies and organizations seeking cost-effective mitigation of anticipated (i.e., future) operational and/or project-related GHG emissions. In order to receive forecasted mitigation units (FMUs) for the anticipated emission reductions, every project must conduct a confirmation, in which an accredited third-party ensures the projected GHG emissions reductions have met a minimum quality standard and complied with the Reserve’s procedures and approved forecast methodologies.
