Current Urban Forest Project Protocol

How It Works

Current Urban Forest Project Protocol

The Urban Forest Project Reporting and Verification Protocols provide guidance to quantify and verify GHG reductions from a planned set of tree planting and maintenance activities implemented to permanently increase carbon storage through trees. The protocol is designed for use by municipalities, educational institutions, and utilities. These protocols were first adopted by the Reserve Board in August 2008.

Protocol Revisions

The Urban Forest Project Protocol is not under revision at this time.
