Issue Briefs

Reserve staff has drafted three issue briefs related to the development of agriculture sector protocols. These documents are intended to provide a basis for discussions about key methodological issues, including additionality determinations, quantification methods, and managing the risk of CO₂ reversals. Scoping Process

The Reserve completed a scoping process for several project types in the agriculture sector. This process helped inform Reserve staff and guide the initiation of efforts to develop protocols for projects that reduce or sequester greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the agriculture sector. The Reserve hosted scoping meetings in order to publicly discuss and solicit feedback on various agriculture project types such as nutrient management, cropland management, and rice cultivation. The scoping process and protocol development process are generously supported by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
