Description: The Climate Action Reserve, in collaboration with The Land Trust for Tennessee, Bridgestone Americas, and Finite Carbon invite you to attend a free, one-day workshop on the opportunities to generate forest carbon offsets and sell them into the California carbon market. The emergence of a compliance market for carbon offsets represents a valuable opportunity for forest landowners throughout the United States to earn revenue by sequestering carbon on their land. The workshop will feature an introduction to the Reserve program, focusing on the practical issues of developing a forest carbon project as well as how to monetize forest carbon offset credits with an emphasis on serving the compliance market in California. In addition, the workshop will feature presentations and case studies by offset project developers, forest landowners, and a broker of offset credits to provide insight into the mechanics of forest carbon offset projects, from project development through to the verification and sale of credits. It will be useful for foresters, land trusts, landowners, conservationists, and many others. This workshop is free and open to the public. However, space is limited so please register in advance to reserve your seat.
